Orientation

In order to use the equipment and tools at the PTCPS you must either perform proficiency or take an introductory class. These introductory classes include an orientation, so that fee will be waived.

E-mail us to schedule your orientation after purchase.

Open Studio Hours are a great time to receive the Orientation.

You can purchase membership at your Orientation, but need to have the Orientation first!

Volunteer

$60 per month +
6 hours volunteering

Volunteer memberships are $60 per month + 6 hours of volunteering per month.

Every prospective volunteer member must spend 6hrs volunteering for the PTCPD to qualify to become a volunteer member.

After the initial 6hrs they will get voted in and those hours will go towards a discounted membership or class.

PTCPD requires 6hrs of volunteer time a month to maintain your volunteer membership. Here are some examples of the things that qualify as volunteering:

  • Facilitating “open shop hours”. Every Tuesday we host community drop in hours from 5-8 PM. A volunteer member must be present for these drop in hours in order to support those who are coming in to use the space as well as opening and closing up the space. We want people of all skill levels to feel welcome during Open Studio Hours!

  • Grant writing

  • Fundraising events

  • Upkeep of the website

  • Leading studio orientations

  • Assisting teaching artists

  • Deep cleaning and organizing

  • Inventory
